Look at this: They thought loved ones were calling for help. It was an AI scam. Headline from ‘The Washington Post’ So what happened? Let me ease it for you: The man calling Ruth Card sounded just like her grandson Brandon. So when he said he was in jail, with no wallet or cellphone, and needed cash for bail, Card scrambled to do whatever she could to help. (this was from the washington post) In easy tone: Scammers used Ai voice to impersonate Family members. Said he’s in jail and needs money for bail. His family withdrew 3,000 Canadian dollars, which is the max limit btw. As hurried to a second branch for more money, the bank manager pulled them into his office. Explained them that he got a similar call and the whole scam that was running around. Now the Question is: They get through that safely, But will you? The impersonating scams are rising in the United Nations at an enormous rate. (i’m still getting free loan at 0 interest rate calls) India is safe for now but, till how long.
